Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

  • All sessions are payable in full at the time of booking.
  • Cancellations with at least 3 days’ notice will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations with less than 3 days’ notice are non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply (at the photographer’s discretion).

2. Rescheduling

  • Sessions may be rescheduled once without charge if at least 24 hours notice is given.
  • Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice is at my discretion because I recognise there are sometimes exceptional circumstances, life just sometimes happens.

3. Weather Conditions

  • As all sessions are outdoor and this is England sessions may have to be postponed due to weather, or a different location agreed for the same reason.  A new date will be agreed at no extra charge.

4. Animal Safety & Behaviour

  • Owners are responsible for the safety, control, and behaviour of their animals at all times during the session.
  • Amanda Newell is not liable for injury to animals, people, or property during the session.
  • Aggressive or dangerously uncontrolled animals will not be photographed.

5. Photographer’s Role

  • Amanda will always work patiently and kindly recognising individuality and animal needs and responses at all times. 
  • Treats and toys may be used to encourage natural expressions — please inform me of any dietary restrictions in advance.
  • Amanda Newell is not able to provide training or behavioural advice.

6. Image Rights & Usage

  • Under UK law, copyright of all images remains with the photographer.
  • Clients have licence to use purchased images for personal use (e.g., printing, sharing with family, personal social media).
  • Amanda Newell does not use client images for marketing, competition, or portfolio purposes without the client’s written permission.
  • Where a client grants permission for image use, this will be agreed in writing and may include a discretionary discount as a thank you.

7. Liability

  • Every effort will be made to deliver images to the highest standard, but the photographer’s liability for any claim shall be limited to the amount paid for the session.  In the event of a complaint please put it in writing to Amanda Newell and email amanda@amandanewell.com where it will dealt with promptly. 

Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR)

  • By booking a session, you consent to the collection and storage of your personal information (such as your name, contact details, and payment information) for the purposes of managing your booking and delivering the photography service.
  • Your personal data will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., payment processors).
  • You have the right to request access to the personal data I hold about you, request corrections, or request deletion where applicable.
  • I will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined and comply with legal obligations.
